Exceptional Tutors was founded to engage and encourage a 'love of learning' in all our students; this approach encourages students to reach their full potential and achieve positive outcomes.
Our founder Amy Burrell believes tutoring is an effective learning tool that is enhanced by using professional and reliable tutors; tutors who are assessed for in-depth subject knowledge and teaching skills, referenced and DBS checked. Tutors are also expected to possess excellent time management skills. We work with students of all ages, levels and educational backgrounds from eight years old to adult to achieve positive outcomes and improved academic results with a high quality, reliable service.
Exceptional Tutors supports tutors with regular training and fair compensation, in return tutors who work with Exceptional Tutors are expected to invest time in thorough lesson planning for each lesson, adjust their teaching methods until they find 'what works' for each student and provide regular feedback.

Whether one-to-one or in small groups; we design effective creative session plans to identify and achieve targets that focus on student specific needs. Students are offered a learning style and level assessment at the beginning of their course of study with Exceptional Tutors.
Our creative, individualised study programmes engage students creating an environment in which each can reach their full potential and achieve positive outcomes, with improved academic results. We work with all students; from those struggling to those seeking the highest grades.
At Exceptional Tutors we are experienced and professional; we offer a high quality, reliable service. All tutors are Enhanced Disclosure (DBS) checked (formerly enhanced CRB) and possess in-depth subject knowledge. All tutors' teaching skills are assessed prior to tutoring, tutors are assigned based on the subject matter, expertise and availability.
